Before saying goodbye to the summer season and the cold is approaching unless you have a heat pump installed (and some kind of cover), to winter the pool we leave you the steps to follow.
BEFORE CARRYING OUT THE WINTER
Make sure to clean the bottom of the pool with your electric or hydraulic pool cleaner.
POOL WATER TREATMENT
Carry out a treatment (“Chlor Shock” or “Power Chlor” are the ideal products) and wait for the active product to do its job (about 2 hours with filtration running).
Make sure the pH of the water is well balanced (between 7.0 and 7.6). You can correct it with a corrector such as “pH-” or “pH +”.
LOWER THE WATER LEVEL
We recommend lowering the water level in your pool to 10 or 15 cm below the return nozzles. To do this, use the “Drain” filtration mode, which lowers the pool water level through the main drain.
ADD A WINTER PRODUCT
You can dose the product into the pool glass with the filtration system running through the sump, making sure that the rest of the valves in the suction circuit are closed. Wait one hour with the filtration system on for the product to be effective.
IVERFILTER PM-690 5KG
Conditioning and antifouling product that prevents water from rotting inside the filter, preventing the formation of biofilm and colonies of algae, it also minimizes the incrustation of lime (glass and flint). It incorporates a pH indicator. It allows to start up the following season more quickly and efficiently. The duration of the product is estimated at 6 months.
IVERLINER PM-680 5KG
Universal greenhouse for swimming pools, suitable for liner, polyester and saline electrolysis pools. It protects the pool from algae and water decomposition throughout the winter, also prevents lime and dirt from sticking to the liner and fiber. It does not contain metallic ions that can stain or embed.
Dose: 1L / 20 m³ keeps the water for 3 to 6 months.

Product that prevents the creation of algae in swimming pools, decomposition of water and the incrustation of lime on the walls. Facilitates the cleaning of pools in spring.
A single dose of 1 L every 10/15 m³ of water, keeps it the same for 6 months.
DRAIN THE POOL PUMP, FILTER AND PIPING
Turn off the filtration system and open the corresponding drain plugs. Depending on the location of the system (especially if it is below the water level), make sure the pump and filter isolation valves are closed. Make sure the filtration system is “OFF” (no active programming).
PROTECT YOUR POOL
There are accessories to avoid possible freezing: There are wintering floats to protect the pool, as well as accessories to protect the skimmers. Wintering plugs can be used to close openings exposed to the open air (discharge nozzles, suction valves, etc.)
PLACE THE COVER
To prevent dirt from falling into the pool, it is recommended to use a winter cover. Check the pool regularly to prevent water from pooling on top of the deck and make sure the pool is always properly protected.
